56k | USACE Harrell travels along the Elizabeth River, 13 September 2013, as the
USS Dwight D. Eisenhower (CVN-69) travels to the Norfolk Naval Shipyard for more than a year long
stay. Norfolk District Corps of Engineers worked with the US Navy to deepen this portion of the river, allowing the carriers a safer passage
to and from the shipyard. The district also removes debris floating in the water that could damage ships and watercraft of all sizes.
