  • Final Disposition, sold for non operational use to American Ship Dismantlers Inc., 4 March 1971 (PD-X-898 dated 10 February 1971) for $35,105.00 and subsequently scrapped

    Bell Ringer - CT2 Shauna Lewis stands-by to ring the bell on the aft flight deck aboard the guided missile cruiser USS Chancellorsville (CG-62) for the departure of the official party during a change-of-command ceremony. Change-of-command ceremonies are held to honor outgoing commanding officers as they turnover duties to incoming commanding officers.
