  • Returned to the War Shipping Administration for disposal, date unknown
  • For sale at Pralls Island, NY (P-DX-137), March 1946
  • Registered to Tanker Andrew & Leonard, Inc., Caldwell, NJ, as Andrew-Leonard, 1946
  • Sold to Herbert E. Eklof, New York, NY, 1949
  • Renamed Eileen Eklof, 1951
  • Sprang leak and sank at pier Staten Island, NY, killing her master/owner, 07 November 1957
  • Raised, repaired and renamed Eklof, 1958
  • Damaged by fire while moored at Bayonne, NJ, again killing her master, 12 June 1966
  • Sold to Solvent Tanner Corp., Oceeanside, NY, renamed Viking, late 1960s

    Jack Hayes was born 15 January 1877 in Nebraska, the son of Brigadier General Edward Mortimer Hayes. Graduating West Point in 1899, Hayes was appointed Second Lieutenant, 16th US Infantry, 15 April 1899, and First Lieutenant, 02 February 1901. Eventually rising to the rank of Colonel in the Quatermaster Corps, Hayes died at Harrisburg, PA, while assigned to the Pennsylvania National Guard as an instructor, 10 January 1925. He is buried in Arlington National Cemetery.
    (Not to be confused with the famous Texas Ranger of the same name).
