  • Laid down, 7 April 1945, as SS Maritime Victory a Maritime Commission type (VC2-S-AP2) hull, under Maritime Commission contract (MCV hull 821) at Bethlehem-Fairfield, Baltimore, MD.
  • Launched, 22 May 1945
  • Delivered to the War Shipping Administration, 18 June 1945
  • Re-delivered under a General Agency Agreement to American South African Line, Inc. until 5 July 1946
  • Acquired by the US Army Transportation Service, 5 July 1946, as a Bare Bottom charter
  • Transfered to the US Army Transportation Service, 30 August 1946, renamed USAT Pvt. Frederick C. Murphy
  • Placed out of service in 1949
  • Delivered to the US Maritime Commission Reserve Fleet, Beaumont, TX. for lay up, 10 February 1950
  • Custody transferred to the Maritime Administration (MARAD), 8 May 1974
  • Transfer, 15 April 1983, as a Fleet Service Craft at US National Defense Reserve Fleet Beaumont,TX.
  • Final Disposition, sold for scrapping, 21 August 1974, to National Unity Marine Salvage Corp.
