  • Built in 1892 as Hartford at Neafie & Levy Shipyard, Philadlephia, PA., for the Harford and New York Transportation Co., Hartford CT.
  • Launched, 1892
  • Delivered to Harford and New York Transportation Co., date unknown
  • Confiscated by the United States in 1897 for running guns to rebels in Cuba
  • Acquired by the US Army Quartermaster Corps in 1898, commissioned USQD Terry
  • Terry served as a hospital ship during the Spanish-American War
  • Decommissioned in 1901
  • Purchased in 1901 by Chicago and Muskegon Transportation Co., Chicago IL. for their Barry Line
  • Renamed SS Charles H. Hackley 15 September 1901
  • Purchased by the Goodrich Transportation Co., Chicago, IL. in 1906
  • Rebuilt at Manitowc Shipbuilding and renamed SS Carolina
  • Carolina reentered service in th White Lake area 16 June 1906
  • Into Receivership in 1932
  • Final Disposition, scrapped in 1937
