  • Built in 1918 by the Northwest Steel Co., Portland, OR
  • Acquired by the Navy 14 January 1919 and commissioned USS West Wauna (ID 3856) the same day
  • Decommissioned 19 May 1919 at Galveston, TX, struck from the Navy list and returned to the United States Shipping Board
  • Sold in 1941 to the Ministry of War Transport, London, England and renamed Empire Grebe
  • Sold in 1947 to the Inchmark Steamship Co. of Hong Kong and renamed Inchmark
  • Ran aground 29 May 1949 on Schildpat Island Reef, Indonesia at 07° 05' S., 132° 03' E and determined to be a total loss.
