  • Built in 1916 by the Detroit Drydock Co., Wyandotte, MI
  • Acquired by the Navy 19 November 1918 and commissioned USS Levisa (ID 1573) the same day at Cardiff, Wales
  • Decommissioned 1 April 1919 and returned to her owner the same day
  • Sold in 1929 to Sanders and Boe of Kragero, Norway and renamed Bjerka
  • Sold in 1933 to Skibs A/S Orion (M. Bruusgaart & H. Bodtker, Jr., Mgrs.) of Oslo, Norway
  • Sold in 1946 to the E-Hsiang Steamship Co., Ltd. of Keelung, Formosa and renamed Foo Ming
  • Scrapped in 1958 at Formosa.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 3,800 t.
  • Length 261'
  • Beam 43' 6"
  • Draft 18' 3½"
  • Speed 9 kts.
  • Complement 52
  • Armament: Two 3"/50 mounts
  • Propulsion: Two singled ended boilers, one 1,200hp vertical triple expansion steam engine, one shaft.
