  • Built in 1901 by the Herreshoff Manufacturing Co., Bristol, RI for William O. Gay of Boston, MA
  • Launched 7 August 1901
  • Acquired in 1914 by Raymond B. Price of New York
  • Acquired by the Navy 13 July 1917
  • Struck from the Navy Register 11 October 1918
  • Sold 28 March 1919 to Thomas Butler of Boston and scrapped.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 27 t.
  • Length 82'
  • Beam 10' 6"
  • Draft 3' 4"
  • Speed 20 kts.
  • Complement 10
  • Propulsion: One Bent tube boiler, one 285hp Herreshoff Manufacturing Co. triple expansion steam engine, one shaft.
