Laid down 21 April 1943 under Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 1489) at Leathem D. Smith Shipyard, Sturgeon Bay, Wisconsin

Launched as Chattanooga 7 August 1943

Renamed Uniontown 16 August 1944 to free the name Chattanooga for the Light Cruiser, CL-118

Commissioned USS Uniontown (PF-65), 6 October 1944 at New Orleans, LA

Decommissioned 20 December 1945 at Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth VA

Struck from the Naval Register 8 January 1946

Turned over to the State Department, Foreign Liquidation Commission

Sold in July 1947 to Argentina, renamed ARA Sarandi (P 33) and served until 1968

Naval Vessel Register of 1 January 1949 lists sale date as June 1946

Dropped from Jane's Fighting Ships by 1982

Fate unknown.
