  • Laid down 3 April 1945 by Annapolis Yacht Yard, Inc., Annapolis, MD
  • Launched 4 May 1945
  • Completed 22 May 1945
  • Struck from the Naval Register 28 November 1945
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration 25 June 1946
  • Acquired in 1946 by the Town Real Estate Corp. of Baltimore, MD for use as a passanger vessel and named PT-500
  • Acquired in 1947 by Tolly Vinik of Fort Lauderdale, FL for use as a freighter and renamed Huckster
  • Acquired in 1948 by John A. Goolsby of Brownsville, TX for use as a fishing boat
  • Foundered 5 January 1954 in the Gulf of Mexico approximately 45 miles south of the mouth of the Rio Grande River and 1 mile off the coast of Mexico.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 39 t.
  • Length 70'
  • Beam 19'
  • Draft 4' 9"
  • Speed 40 kts.
  • Complement 12
  • Armament: Two 21" torpedoes, two twin .50 cal. machine guns and one 20mm mount
