PT-602 served the Navies of the United States and Norway

80' Elco Motor Torpedo Boat:

  • Laid down 10 January 1945 by the Electric Boat Co., Elco Works, Bayonne, NJ
  • Launched 15 May 1945
  • Completed 8 June 1945, placed in service and assigned to Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron FORTY ONE (MTBRon 41) under the command of Lt. Comdr. Bruce P. Van Buskirk, USNR
  • MTBRon 41 had completed its fitting out and was having shakedown at Miami at the time of the cessation of hostilities in August 1945. Although assigned to the Pacific Fleet, it was never shipped to
    the Pacific
  • Placed out of service 30 January 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register 25 February 1946
  • Reclassified as Bureau of Ships Equipment 22 December 1948
  • Designated a Radio Control Target RCT-2 in 1951
  • Transferred later that year to Norway and named HNoMS Snøgg (Quick)
  • Fate unknown.
