  • Laid down 13 May 1943 by Higgins Industries, New Orleans, LA
  • Launched 18 July 1943
  • Completed 3 February 1944
  • Placed in service 15 February 1944 and assigned to Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron THIRTY (MTBRon 30) under the command of Lt. Comdr. Robert L. Searles, USNR
  • MTBRon 30 had action in the English Channel area during the period June 1944 to June 1945. It was then returned to the United States for reconditioning and reassignment to the Pacific, but
    the war ended while the squadron was still in New York
  • Transferred 23 March 1944 to Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron FOUR (MTBRon 4) under the command of LT Charles E. Tilden, USNR
  • MTBRon 4 was the training squadron, based at the MTB Squadrons Training Center, Melville, R.I. It was the largest squadron, having a peak of 28 boats in service at one time. When the training center
    was decommissioned early in 1946, MTBRon 4 was assigned to the Operational Development Force, and based at Solomons, MD
  • Placed out of service 1 February 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register 25 February 1946
  • Transferred to the War Shipping Administration 25 June 1948
  • Fate unknown.
