  • Laid down 28 November 1942 by Higgins Industries, New Orleans, LA
  • Launched 11 April 1943
  • Completed 28 June 1943, placed in service and assigned to Motor Torpedo Boat Squadron TWENTY THREE (PTRon 23) under the command of LCDR Ronald K. Irving, USN
  • PTRon 23, assigned to the South Pacific, had action at Bougainville and Green
  • Sunk in a collision with PT-282 off Bougainville, Solomon Islands 12 February 1944.
