  • Laid down in June 1942 at New York Shipbuilding Corp., Camden, N.J.
  • Launched in July 1942
  • Delivered, and transferred to the United Kingdom, 18 August 1942, under the Lend-Lease program, redesignated HM LCT-2402
  • Armor plating added in early 1944 in the United Kingdom prior to Reverse Lend-Lease to the US Navy, redesignated LCT(A)-2402
  • During World War II LCT(A)-2402 was assigned to the Europe-Africa-Middle East Theater and participated in the following campaign:
