LCI(L)-265 was transferred to the Royal Navy under terms of the Lend-Lease Act
LCI-1 Class Landing Craft Infantry (Large):
  • Laid down in 1943, at New Jersey Shipbuilding Co., Barber, N.J.
  • Launched in 1943
  • LCI(L)-265 never saw active service with the US Navy
  • Transferred to the United Kingdom under terms of the Lend-Lease Act for the duration of World War II
  • Commissioned into Royal Navy as HM LCI(L)-265, 20 January 1943
  • Returned to US Naval custody, 10 December 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 26 February 1946
  • Final Disposition, delivered to her purchaser, 10 December 1946, fate unknown
