Commander Christina (Tina) Dalmau graduated from the United States Naval Academy in 1998 with a Bachelor of Science in Mechanical Engineering.
Following surface warfare training, she reported to USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43) forward deployed to Sasebo, Japan where she served as electrical officer. Upon completing the Naval Nuclear Power Training Program she reported for her second division officer assignment onboard USS HARRY S TRUMAN as the reactor mechanical division officer. As a department head, CDR Dalmau served as operations officer on USS CARTER HALL and as Reactor Training Assistant on board USS DWIGHT D EISENHOWER.
Ashore, CDR Dalmau served as a physics Instructor at the Naval Academy Preparatory School in Newport, Rhode Island. Post-department head, she served as the Director of the Officer Department at Naval Nuclear Power School in Charleston, South Carolina and the Women in Submarines Program Coordinator for Commander, Submarine Forces Atlantic.
CDR Dalmau is a graduate of the University of Rhode Island, where she received a master’s degree in Education.
Commander Dalmau’s personal decorations include the 2011 Joy Bright Hancock Leadership Award, Meritorious Service Medal, the Navy Commendation Medal (five awards), and the Navy Achievement Medal (four awards) in addition to various unit citations and campaign awards.
