His first tour was onboard USS RENTZ (FFG-46), where he served as Communications Officer. In February, 2003, he reported to USS OGDEN (LPD-5), where he served as Training Officer. From 2006 to 2008, he served as a Personal Exchange Program (PEP) Officer with the French Navy, onboard French Ship, TCD Siroco (L9012) where he was assigned duties equivalent to Combat Information Center Officer and participated in Operation Baliste, the 2006 French mission to support the United Nations Interim Force in Lebanon (UNIFIL) and evacuate Non-Combatants from Lebanon.
In July 2009, CDR Fabrizio reported to USS CARTER HALL (LSD-50) where he served as Operations Officer, during which time the ship participated in Operation Unified Response, providing relief supplies to the Haitian people. In February 2011, he reported to Commander, Amphibious Squadron Eight as Future Operations and Plans (N5), and later assumed duties as Staff Operations Officer (N3). In December 2012, he reported to USS IWO JIMA (LHD-7) as Navigator.
In July 2015, CDR Fabrizio reported to Joint Enabling Capabilities Command (JECC), Joint Planning Support Element (JPSE) in the Plans Functional Group where he served as a Joint Maritime Planner until February 2018. In June 2018, CDR Fabrizio reported to USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43) as Executive Officer. He assumed command of USS FORT MCHENRY (LSD 43) in November 2019.
Commander Fabrizio is a graduate of the Defense Language Institute Foreign Language Center, and the Joint Forces Staff College Joint and Combined Warfighting School.
