Afloat, Capt. Allbritton’s assignments include: USS JOHN A. MOORE (FFG 19) as Electronics Maintenance Officer and Auxiliaries and Electrical Officer; USS LAKE CHAMPLAIN (CG 57) as Fire Control Officer; and USS MCCLUSKY (FFG 41) as Operations Officer. He commanded USS HURRICANE (PC 3) from February 2003 to December 2004. Later, he served aboard USS ANTIETAM (CG 54) as Executive Officer from May 2006 to January 2008. He also retoured as an Executive Officer in USS GRIDLEY (DDG 101) home ported in San Diego, CA from December 2009 to March 2011 and then had command from March 2011 to September 2012. He reported aboard USS BOXER (LHD 4) as the Executive Officer in June 2015, and assumed command of BOXER, December 8, 2016.
Ashore, he served as a tactical warfare instructor at Fleet Combat Training Center Pacific, where he certified as a Master Training Specialist (MTS). He was Flag Speech Writer for Commander, Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet in 2005. Capt. Allbritton completed a one-year GSA tour as a Joint Strategist at Multi-National Force-Iraq CJ-5 Strategy, Plans, and Assessments in May 2009. He most recently completed a tour at Engineering Assessments Pacific as Executive Officer and Senior Assessor conducting engineering material and operations assessments on ships assigned to Commander Naval Surface Force, U.S. Pacific Fleet.
His awards include the Bronze Star Medal, Meritorious Service Medal (four awards), Navy Commendation Medal (three awards), and Navy Achievement medal (two awards) as well as various unit and personal decorations.
