  • Launched, 5 May 1945
  • Commissioned USS LSM(R)-510, 1 July 1945, LT. Werner E. Cederberg, USNR in command
  • During World War II USS LSM(R)-510 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater:
    LSM(R) Flotilla Eighteen, CAPT. C. F. Macklin USN
    LSM(R) Group Forty-Three
    LSM(R) Division One Hundred Six
  • Decommissioned, 5 February 1947, at San Diego, CA.
  • Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, San Diego Group
  • Named USS James River (LSM(R)-510), 1 October 1955
  • Struck from the Naval Register 1 February 1960
  • Final Disposition, sold to Miami Terminal Transportation Co., New York, N.Y., sunk, 18 May 1970, when she struck a submerged object off Miami, FL.
