  • Launched, date unknown
  • Placed in US service, date unknown
  • Captured by Tripolitan corsairs in 1802
  • Sold to the commercial agent of the Bey of Tunis
  • Purchased, 27 April 1805, by Captain James Barren at Trieste
  • Place in service in June 1805 at Syracuse, Sicily, LT. Jacob Jones in command
  • From July to September 1805 Franklin served as storeship for the Mediterranean Squadron
  • Departed for the United States 24 September 1805
  • During 1806 and 1807 Franklin carried supplies, munitions and Marines to New Orleans
  • Franklin was turned over to the Navy Agent at New Orleans for disposal
  • Sold, 21 March 1807
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown
