  • USS Quinnebaug departed New York, 31 August 1867, for duty off the Atlantic coast of South America
  • Returned to Norfolk, 18 July 1870
  • Decommissioned, 29 July 1870, and laid up at Norfolk
  • Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • Final Disposition, broken up in 1871
