Unit was assigned to the North Atlantic Blockading Squadron as a tug and repair vessel in Hampton Roads, VA., for the duration of the Civil War

Sold at public auction at New York City, 12 July 1865, to C. and E. T. Peters for $6,750
Redocumented as a merchant steamer, 6 September 1865, Unit remained in the New York area for her mercantile service until 1902
She was re-sold to Solomon Thomas from at least 1883-1888
Final Disposition, abaondoned in 1902
