  • During the Civil War Vindicator participated in the following actions on the Mississippi River and tributaries;
    Assigned to the 5th District, deployed off Natchez, MS. performing patrol and reconnaissance duties
    Reassigned to the 6th District in November 1864 to participate in an expedition up the Yazoo River
    Decommissioned at Mound City, ILL., circa June 1865
  • Sold, 29 November 1865, to W. L. Hambleton
  • Re-documented New Orleans, 27 February 1866
  • Final Disposition, fate unknown, dropped from documentation in 1869
