During World War II USS ARD-16 was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and participated in the following campaigns:

Final Disposition, while laying partially submerged in the Gulf of Mexico, due west of Yankeetown, FL., during salvage operations by Blacksmith Marine Corp, Jacksonville, FL. a severe weather system knocked down both wing walls. She is now going to be cut up for scrap
