  • Commissioned, USS Alsea (AT-97), 13 December 1943, LT. Cecil Cuthbert, USN, in command
  • Reclassified Fleet Ocean Tug (ATF-97), 15 May 1944
  • During World War II USS Alsea was assigned to the Europe-Africa-Middle East Theater
  • Decommissioned, 15 April 1955
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 1 September 1962
  • Custody transferred to the Maritime Administration for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Flee, James River, Lee Hall, VA.
