APc-1 Class Small Coastal Transport
  • Laid down in 1943 at Hodgdon Bros. East Boothbay ME.
  • Launched, 1943
  • APc-70 never saw active service with the US Navy
  • Commissioned into the Royal Navy in 1944 as HMS-F27
  • Decommissioned by the Royal Navy, date unknown
  • Returned to US Naval custody in January 1947
  • Struck from the Naval Register, date unknown
  • Sold in January 1947 to S/L Fiskernes Agnforsyning, Svolvær, Norway, named MV Georg Lorentzen
  • Final Disposition, grounded, 24 February 1949, at Storbaen north of Landegode while on a voyage from Bergen to Svolvaer with bait. 3 crewmen died.
