  • Launched, 17 December 1944
  • Commissioned USS Wakulla (AOG-44), 3 February 1945, LT. Clifford G. Pickering in command
  • During World War II USS Wakulla (AOG-44) was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater
  • Decommissioned, 19 July 1946
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 19 July 1946
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission, 14 November 1946, for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet
