From 7 December 1944 to 30 June 1945 USS CINCHONA AN-12 conducted net operations, laid moorings and aided in installing a pipeline at Guam.
On 24 May 1942 USS EBONY AN-15 sailed from San Francisco for the South Pacific. After a brief period in the Fiji Islands she arrived at Auckland, New Zealand, 27 July to serve as Net Gate Vessel.
During the Okinawa invasion USS MAHOGANY AN-23 operated with minecraft during the 82 day campaign.
In December 1942 USS HAZEL AN-29 was commissioned. She remained in the Narragansett Bay area, based at the Naval Net Depot, Melville, R.I. She occasionally performed patrol and fire fighting duties in addition to Net Tending and installation.

After returning from France and England in February 1945, and following overhaul USS CHINABERRY AN-61 sailed on 26 March for Narragansett Bay to conduct experimental Net Operations and train pre-commissioning crews for Net Tenders.
On 2 September 1945 USS LANCEWOOD AN-48 steamed to YaP Island to participate in the surrender of Japanese forces there. She remained at Yap until 7 September before returning to Ulithi.
Following the Japanese surrender, USS PAPAYA AN-49 participated in the occupation of Yap and undertook several search missions in atolls east of Ulithi, capturing 26 Japanese soldiers.
