  • Reclassified Net Tender (AN-6), 31 January 1944
  • During World War II USS Aloe (AN-6) was assigned to the Asiatic-Pacific Theater and participated in the following campaigns:
    Asiatic-Pacific Campaign
    Campaign and Dates Campaign and Dates
    Consolidation of Solomon Islands
    Consolidation of northern Solomons, April 1944
    Okinawa Gunto operation
    Assault and occupation of Okinawa Gunto, May to June 1945

  • Decommissioned, 3 August 1946, at Portland, OR.
  • Laid up in the Pacific Reserve Fleet, Columbia River Group
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 9 October 1962
  • Transferred to the Maritime Administration for lay up in the National Defense Reserve Fleet, Olympia, WA.
  • Final Disposition, sold for scrapping, 14 May 1971, to I. D. Logan
