Delivered to the Maritime Administration, 16 August 1962, for operation by States Lines

Delivered to Moore-McCormack Lines, 3 December 1976, named changed to SS Mormacsaga

Reacquired by the Maritime Administration, 19 September 1985, laid up in the National Reserve Reserve Fleet, James River, VA.

Upgraded, 7 July 1987, for assignment to the Ready Reserve Fleet (RRF), renamed SS Cape Juby and designated as part of the Maritime Administration Ready Reserve Fleet, (AK-5077)

SS Cape Juby (AK-5077) was assigned to a layberth at Wilmington, N.C. as part of the Maritime Administration Ready Reserve Fleet

When activated Cape Juby (AK-5077) was assigned to the Military Sealift Command (MSC) as one of the Military Sealift Command's six Modular Cargo Delivery System Ready Reserve Force Ships
