  • Operated under various additional names including, MV Irene D., MV Utah and MV Newark Bay
  • Shorten sometime before being acquired by Maersk Lines Ltd. (MLL) of Norfolk, VA. for charter to the Military Sealift Command (MSC)
  • Chartered by US Navy in October 2000 from Maersk Lines Ltd. (MLL) under a five-year charter to MSC
  • Converted for Military service at Norfolk Shipbuilding and Drydock Company, Norfolk, VA.
  • Renamed MV LTC John U.D. Page (T-AK-4496), 21 February 2001
  • Placed in service, 1 March 2001
  • MV LTC John U.D. Page (AK-4496) is one of the Military Sealift Command's seven Container Ships and is part of the 36 ships in the Prepositioning Program
  • MV LTC John U.D. Page (AK-4496) is assigned to Maritime Prepositioning Program Squadron Two and operates out of Diego Garcia
