CPL Louis J. Hague Jr., Class Maritime Prepositioning Ship:
  • Built by Odense Staalskibsvaerft A/S, Lindo, Denmark, as MV Evelyn Maersk in 1979
  • Acquired by the Navy under a long-term charter in 1983
  • Converted by Bethlehem Steel at Sparrows Point, MD.
  • Placed in service under the direction of the Military Sealift Command (MSC) as PVT. Harry Fisher (AK-3004), 12 September 1985, operated by Maersk Line Ltd.
  • MV PVT Harry Fisher (AK-3004) is one of the Military Sealift Command's seventeen Container & Roll-on/Roll-off Ships and is part of the 36 ships in the Prepositioning Program.
  • MV PVT Harry Fisher (AK-3004) is based at Diego Garcia in the Indian Ocean as a member of Maritime Prepositioning Ship Squadron Two. She carries equipment to support a US Marine Corps Expeditionary Brigade
  • Renamed MV PVT. Franklin J. Phillips (AK-3004) in 1991
  • Returned to owner, 15 July 2008

Phillips 236k MV PVT Harry Fisher (AK-3004) arrives at Northrop Grumman Newport News, VA., 26 September 2007, for an approximately five week period during which she will receive an upgrade to her habitability spaces, replacement of her cargo cranes, propeller and rudder maintenance, and underway hull painting. Northrop Grumman Newport News employees Garry Bunting, senior dock master, and Paul Chaney, fleet support construction supervisor, oversee the arrival of the ship.
