  • Laid down as SS John D. Widden, a Maritime Commission type (N3-S-A2) hull, under a Maritime Commission contract (MC hull 1638), at Walter Butler Shipbuilding Co., Superior, WI.
  • Launched, May 1944
  • Delivered the Maritime Commission in May 1944
  • Acquired by the US Army Transportation Service in 1949
  • Acquired by the US Navy for the US Army, 12 June 1951,
  • Renamed Aquarius (AK-263), and leased to South Korea the same day
  • Returned to US Naval custody in January 1960
  • Struck from the Naval Register 1 February 1960
  • Final Disposition, sold for scrapping, 27 June 1960, to Hong Kong Rolling Mills, Ltd.
