  • Laid down, date unknown, as SS Coastal Courier a Maritime Commission type (N3-S-A2) hull, under Maritime Commission contract (MC2597) at Ingalls Shipbuilding, Decatur, AL.
  • Launched, 29 May 1945
  • Delivered the Maritime Commission, date unknown
  • Acquired by the US Army Transportation Corps., commissioned USAT Charles S. Winsor
  • Acquired by the US Navy from the Army, 12 June 1951
  • Renamed Alchiba (AK-261), 12 June 1951 and leased to South Korea
  • Returned to US Naval custody, January 1960
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 1 February 1960
  • Final Disposition, sold for scrapping, 27 June 1960, to Hong Kong Rolling Mills, Ltd.
