  • 30 June 1943: Launched and christened, sponsored by Mrs. Joseph Lee (Jane) Richey, the widow of Ensign Richey
  • 30 October 1943: Commissioned at Houston, Tex. by Cap't DeWitt C. Redgrave, USN, representing Com8th ND; Cmdr. Petros D. Mills, USCG, in command
  • ..January 1947: Decommissioned after 3 years and 3 months of service
  • 01 April 1952: Loaned to USCG and Recommissioned as WDE 485
  • June 1954: Decommissioned after 2 years and 2 months of service
  • 30 June 1968: Struck from the NVR with a total of 5 years and 5 months of service
  • July 1969: Sunk as a target off California
