32k September 2008: Galveston, Tex. - Stewart (DE 238), with Cavalla (SS-244) in background after Hurrican Ike had passed through Galveston. Fortunately, she didn't get completely loose or she might have ended up on I-45. Leonard

239k 19 September 2008: Galveston, Tex. - The Edsall-class destroyer escort Stewart (DE 238) and the Gato-class submarine Cavalla (SS 244), both museum display ships at Seawolf Park on Pelican Island in Galveston, Texas incurred damage during Hurricane Ike. Stewart was partially refloated from her dry berth by the storm surge and was left in her current, listing position. It also appears that Cavalla was partially refloated out of her dry berth as well (since the waterline is far more exposed than before), and the sail from USS Tautog (SSN-639) was tipped over.
