  • 10 May 1943: Keel laid by the Bethlehem-Hingham Shipyard, Hingham, Mass.
  • 31 July 1943: Launched, redesignated for transfer to Great Britain, the name Straub reassigned to DE 181
  • 13 November 1943: Transferred to Great Britain as lend lease, renamed HMS Braithwaite
  • 13 November 1945: Returned U.S. Navy custody
  • 21 January 1946: Struck from the NVR
