123k 01 February 2019: Mayport, Fla. - Chief Logistics Specialist Elliot Jones, a native of Estill, S.C., attached to the Littoral Combat Ship USS Billings (LCS 15), prepares to call away the casualty as the Petty Officer of the Watch during a security training exercise. The LCS is a highly maneuverable, lethal and adaptable ship designed to support focused mine countermeasures, anti-submarine warfare, and surface warfare missions. LCS integrates new technology and capability to affordably support current and future mission capability from deep water to the littorals.

123k 30 August 2019: Mayport, Fla. - Sailors assigned to the Freedom-class variant littoral combat ship USS Billings (LCS 15) heave a line as the ship gets underway from Naval Station Mayport as Commander, U.S. 4th Fleet orders all U.S. Navy ships homeported in the area to sortie ahead of Hurricane Dorian, which is forecasted to bring high winds and heavy rain to the East Coast. Ships are being directed to areas in the Atlantic where they are best postured for storm avoidance.
