  • Launched in 1943
  • Delivered and placed in service at New York Navy Yard, 10 December 1943
  • Assigned to 7th Naval District for service in Caribbean, December 1943
  • Placed out of service in May 1946, and laid up in the Reserve Fleet, Orange, TX
  • Reclassified Refrigerated Covered Lighter (Self-propelled) YFR-443, date unknown
  • Transferred to Colombia under terms of the Security Assistance Program (SAP)
  • Commissioned into the Colombian Navy as ARC Quindio (BO-153), 2 August 1963
  • Struck from the US Naval Register, 01 October 1977
  • Retired from Colombian Navy service in 2015
  • Final dispositon, scuttled as diving reef off Isla Baru (10°15'48.3"N 75°35'53"W), 13 November 2015

    YFR-443 44k Ex-YFR-443 in Colombian Naval service as ARC Quindio (BO-153). The Oceanographic and Hydrographic vessel ARC Quindio celebrated her 46th anniversary since commissioning in the Colombian Navy, 2 August 2009. She served initially as a supply ship carrying food and frozen meat between the Colombian main land and the Island of San Andres in the Caribbean. Later she was reassigned to hydrographic duties.
