Acquired by the US Navy, 05 June 1942

Converted for naval duties by Snow Shipyards, Rockland, ME, 08-24 June 1942

Placed in service as YAG-12, 24 June 1942

Operated as liberty ferry in Casco Bay area and also as barracks at Section Base, Rockland, ME 1942-45
