  • Laid down, 7 September 1942, at R.T.C. Shipbuilding Corp., Camden, N.J.
  • Launched, 20 February 1943
  • Commissioned USS Anticline (YO-62), at Philadelphia, 17 April 1943
  • During World War II USS Anticline was assigned to the Europe-Africa-Middle East Theater and participated in the following campaign:
    European Campaign
    Campaign and Dates
    Invasion of southern France, 15 August to 25 September 1944

  • Decommissioned, 20 December 1944 and transferred to France under terms of the Lend-lease program, renamed RFS Loc Chambon (A629)
  • Returned to US Naval custody, 21 March 1949
  • Struck from the Naval Register, 28 April 1949
  • Placed out of service by the French navy in 1973
  • Loc Chambon disarmed, 1 April 1974, redesignated Q-516
  • Final Disposition, sunk as a target, 4 June 1974
  • USS Anticline earned two battle stars for World War II service
