Woodbine served both the U.S. Lighthouse Service, U.S. Navy and Coast Guard


Lighthouse Tender:

  • Built in 1914 by F. A. Verdon, West New Brighton, New York
  • Commissioned USLHT Woodbine 1 March 1914
  • Transferred to the Navy during World War I
  • Struck from the Navy Register 1 July 1919 and returned to the Lighthouse Service
  • Decommissioned 16 April 1933
  • Sold 20 October 1933
  • Registered in 1934 to Nick Paxos of Philadelphia, PA as the freighter Woodbine
  • Fate unknown.
