  • The third Guard was built in 1902 as Floyd Hurst by the Norfolk Navy Yard, Portsmouth, VA
  • Placed in service 27 February 1918 as USS Floyd Hurst (SP 2384)
  • Delivered to the Navy 3 March 1918
  • Renamed Guard and reclassified YP-2384, 7 January 1921
  • Struck from the Navy list 3 August 1921
  • Sold 5 August 1921 to P. M. Anderson of Washington, DC
  • Registered in 1933 to B. E. Buckley of Washington, DC as the freighter Floyd Hurst
  • Fate unknown.
