Daisy (SP 1186)


Yawl:

  • The fifth Daisy was built in 1904 by W. P. Kirk, Toms River, NJ
  • Acquired by the Navy 9 June 1917
  • Placed in service 15 December 1917
  • Returned to her owner following the end of the conflict
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 46 t.
  • Length 82'
  • Beam 18'
  • Draft 3' 9"
  • Speed 7.5 kts.
  • Armament: Two 3-pounders
  • Propulsion: One 45hp 3-cylinder Craig gasoline engine, one shaft.
