  • Built in 1913 as B. F. Macomber by Robert Palmer and Son, Noank, CT for Macomber and Nickerson of Tiverton, RI
  • Acquired by the Navy 22 April 1917 and commissioned USS Macomber (SP 980) 11 June 1917
  • Struck from the Navy Register 5 July 1919
  • Sold 18 July 1919 to her previous owner and renamed B. F. Macomber
  • Sold 8 March 1921 to the Consolidated Fisheries Co, of Wilmington, DE
  • Registered in 1927 to W. A. Eubanks, Sr. of Kilmarnock, VA as the fishing boat B. F. Macomber
  • Registered in 1946 to Consolidated Fisheries of Lewes, DE
  • Rammed by the SS Henry B. Brown and sank 20 July 1946 north of Harbor Refuge Light, Cape Henlopen, DE.
