Weepoose (SP 450)


Weepoose served both the U. S. Navy and the Department of Agriculture

Motorboat:

  • Built in 1911 by the Salisbury Marine Construction Co., Salisbury, MD
  • Acquired by the Navy 2 July 1917
  • Commissioned 22 October 1917
  • Transferred to the Department of Agriculture's Forestry Department 28 September 1920
  • Fate unknown.

    Specifications:

  • Displacement 24 t.
  • Length 60'
  • Beam 12' 3"
  • Draft 3' 6"
  • Speed 10 kts.
  • Complement: Six
  • Armament: One 1-pounder and one machine gun
  • Propulsion: One 60hp 6-cylinder Lamb gasoline engine, one shaft.
