SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 27 July 1943 by Perkins and Vaughan, Inc., Wickford, RI
  • Launched 15 June 1944
  • Commissioned SC-1512, 26 September 1944
  • Transferred to the Soviet Union 21 October 1944 and reclassified BO-246
  • Scuttled 25 June 1956 off the Kildinskiy Reach by agreement with the United States.
