SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 3 July 1943 by Perkins and Vaughan, Inc., Wickford, RI
  • Launched 9 December 1943
  • Commissioned USS SC-1510, 18 May 1944
  • Transferred to the Soviet Union 7 July 1944 and reclassified BO-226
  • Placed in service in August 1944
  • Placed out of service 25 November 1946 and laid up
  • Scrapped 1 May 1955.
