  • Laid down 28 December 1942 as PC-1294 by W. A. Robinson, Inc., Ipswich, Massachusetts
  • Reclassified SC-1294 in April 1943
  • Launched 4 June 1943
  • Commissioned 7 July 1943 under the command of ENS Lawrence B. Elsbernd, USNR
  • Decommissioned 29 December 1945
  • Struck from the Naval Register 21 January 1946
  • Transferred to the Maritime Commission 19 September 1947
  • Acquired in 1948 by Harold S. Anderson of Seattle, WA for use as a fishing boat and named Martha A.
  • Stranded 26 April 1949 near Mary Island, AK.

  • Draft 6' 6"
  • Speed 21 kts.
  • Complement 28
  • Armament: One 40mm gun mount, two .50 cal. machine guns, two depth charge projector "K Gun," two sets Mk 20 Mousetrap rails with four 7.2 projectiles and two depth charge tracks
  • Propulsion: Two 1,540bhp General Motors (Electro-Motive Div.) 16-184A diesel engines, two shafts.
