SC-497 Class Submarine Chaser:

  • Laid down 7 November 1941 by the Thomas Knutson Shipbuilding Corp., Halesite, Long Island, NY
  • Launched 16 May 1942
  • Commissioned USS PC-673, 8 July 1942
  • Reclassified SC-673 in April 1943
  • Transferred to the Soviet Union 4 June 1945 and reclassified BO-316
  • Assigned to the Soviet Pacific Fleet 17 June 1945
  • Placed out of service 15 April 1955 and laid up in reserve
  • Scrapped 17 October 1955.

  • Draft 6' 6"
  • Speed 21 kts.

  • Armament: One 40mm gun mount, two .50 cal. machine guns, two depth charge projector "Y Gun," and two depth charge tracks
